As some of you may know, I attended Miss Emigrant Canada last week and it went great. M.E.C is a pageant for young ladies of Lebanese background. The lucky winner gets the chance to go to Lebanon and compete for the Miss Emigrant Lebanon 2015 title. This event occurs every year in Toronto, Montreal or Ottawa. This year it was here, in the capital.
The event was held at St. Elias Centre. I loved what they had done with the place! The gold & white accents were lovely. Personally, I would’ve added glitter/sparkles to complete the decorations; you can never go wrong with some glitter especially since it is a beauty pageant.
The night was separated into 3 categories . First was the casual wear, then the bikini, and then evening gowns to finish off. Between these categories, there was some entertainment. Without a doubt, the belly dancer was my absolute favourite!
After the top 5 were picked, each contestant was asked the same question. They were called one by one while the other girls were in a sound proof room. Soon after, an unusual thing happened. Two of the contestants had identical scores (can you imagine how nervous those two girls were?… ouff)
Following the stressful questions, the judges finally made a decision…
Christina Salamy will be representing Canada on the international scene to compete for the Miss Emigrant Lebanon 2015 title! Good luck Christina.
All in all, it was indeed a night of elegance , beauty & entertainment. I had a great time!
