As some of you may know, I attended the last two days of Toronto Fashion Week last month. It was such a great experience; I had a blast! I cannot wait for future fashion weeks. Hopefully, next time I will be able to stay longer than two days… I blame my hectic university schedule.
Below you will find upcoming trends for Fall/Winter 2016, that I have spotted on the last two days of fashion week.
Canadian winters can be cold & rough. But fur is here to the rescue. Throughout the years, I have noticed Faux Fur taking over the fashion runways and I am glad that designers are noticing that ”synthetic” does not necessarily mean cheap and low-budget. Faux fur can be as glamorous as real fur (bonus: no animal cruelty)
Designers had different approaches on fur this season. From fur tuques to fur scarves. My favourite fur trend this season was most definitely the earrings at the Picadilly show. So unique!
Ah… Leather, the trend I just can’t get enough of. The trend we continue seeing from season to season doesn’t seem to be leaving anytime soon. Leather is just a classic. For the forthcoming season, it is all about head to toe leather looks. Don’t be afraid to layer with leather.
Rudsak’s show was filled with astounding leather looks. Proving once again that outerwear can be fashionable.
3. Punk/Rock Fashion
The grunge look is making a big come back. Get your darkest clothes (+ makeup) out and start rockin’ them!
Who said we can’t dazzle during the winter season? I noticed many embellishments during the shows, but my favorite was Maram’s embellished collection. From embellished leather jackets to dresses… her collection certainly caught my eye!
When in doubt add some shimmer.
